West Stickmen Have Best Season
in History

Maine West's golf team has had the best season in Maine West history. The stickmen have compiled a 7‑5 conference record. West golfers, under the helm of Coach Ken Olsen, have one remaining meet left before wrapping up a fine season. It will be held at the Village Green Country Club at which Maine West will host.

The highlight of the season for the Maine West stickmen was at the Conant

Invitational in which West placed sixth out of 30 schools.

When asked about the outlook toward next season, Coach Olsen remarked, "It should be even better." Out of six varsity starting golfers only West's numbed one golfer, Jeff Potter '73, will not be returning. Glen Dalbke '74, Mike Lappata '74, Greg Holden '74, and Paul Frost '74 will return to bring Maine West a fine golf season.
