Maine Township High School West will present the fourteenth annual Baccalaureate in the Herman L. Rider Memorial Gymnasium on Sunday, June 10, at 8 p.m.
The processional will be the first event of the evening. Under the direction of Mr. Francis Vaupel, the Commencement Orchestra will play "March of the Meistersingers" by Wagner and "Entrance and March of the Peers" by Sullivan.
The invocation will be presented by Miss Lynn R. Heiden, secretary of the Senior Class.
Miss Claudia Lee Weed, treasurer of the Senior Class, will follow with a reading from the Scriptures. "Canticle of Praise" by John Ness Beck will then be sung by the Concert Choir, conducted by Mr. Donald Lord.
Mr. David R. Veerman will then give the sermon. The title of the sermon is "What You See Isn't Always What You Get"
Miss Gail Ellen Singer, vice-president of the Senior Class, will give the benediction. The recessional will follow with the "Coronation March" from "The Prophet" by Meyerbeer and Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance."
Maine West will hold its fourteenth annual Commencement on Wednesday, June 13, in the Herman L. Rider Memorial Gymnasium.

The evening will start with the "Fanfare" by the music theory classes which was composed especially for the graduates. The processional will follow with Grundman's "March Processional" and "Hosanna" by Webber played by the Commencement Band conducted by Mr. Paul E. Magnusson.
The Reverend Bernard M. Johanson from the First Presbyterian Church will give the invocation.
Mr. James L. Coburn, acting principal, will introduce Phillip Vaccarello, president of the Senior Class. Phil will give a welcome address and introduce the Maine West scholars.
Mr. Coburn will then present scrolls to Miss Anne E. Lauterbach and Mr. Frost, who are retiring.
Mr. Ralph J. Frost, assistant superintendent of Maine Township High School District 207, will present the class; and Mr. Robert Claus, president of the Board of Education, will accept the class.
The presentation of diplomas will be made by the members of the Board of Education.
The Class of '73 will then sing the Maine West Alma Mater for the last time as a class. The graduates' names will be announced by Mr. John G. Graef and Mr. George J. Walker Jr.
"Pomp and Circumstance" by Elgar and Roberts' "Pomp and Chivalry" will be the recessional.
