The Maine West '72‑'73 Homecoming theme is "Victory Warrior Style." October 15 marks the beginning of the Homecoming activities. There are the court, the game, float‑building, the parade, and, of course, the dance. During the week the whole student body can become involved in the many activities.

Mayor Herbert Behrel and Mr. Herman Rider, principal, will lead off the traditional Homecoming Parade. Stepping off from the Maine West Drive at approximately 3 o'clock, on October 20, the parade will proceed east on Howard to Lee, north on Lee to Ellinwood, east on Ellinwood to Pearson, south on Pearson to Thacker, west on Thacker to Graceland, south on Pearson to Thacker, west on Thacker to Graceland, south on Graceland to Lee, south on Lee to Howard, and back to the Maine West Drive.

The parade should arrive up town at approximately 3:30. Various Maine West clubs will be featured in the parade. It will consist of seven floats, 21 cars, and both the Cadet Band and the Maine West Marching Band. The newly formed Hiking club will also be in the parade, only they plan to hike it! This year's parade arrangements were made and organized by Carol Webster '73.

The '72‑'73 Homecoming Court was announced during a senior homeroom assembly this morning. An original 41 girls were chosen by junior and senior homerooms. The margin was then narrowed to 20 girls and then to the nine which make the court. This year's court arrangements were made and organized by Janice Andrews '73.

The date set for this year's Homecoming dance, "Victory on Parade," is October 21. The dance, which is being sponsored by the senior class, will be held in the auditorium from 8 until 11:30 p.m. The group which is to play at the dance has not been decided upon as of yet. Tickets will be sold for $2.50 a couple.

Float-building will begin on Thursday, October 13. All floats must be made on school grounds. The building will continue Friday the fourteenth and Monday the sixteenth through Thursday the nineteenth. Each day between 3:30 and 7 p.m. the building will take place. The areas in which each float is to be made have not yet been designated. This year as last year, people will be allowed to be stationed on the float as long as they are not engaged in any activities.

Dave Wenz '73 is this year's organizations chairman, which is the Student Council committee in charge of Homecoming.
