Scraps . . .

"It's about all the crazy, fun things that have happened in the American theatre," said Linda Costagli '73, student director of V‑Show when speaking about what she calls "a very musical show." This year's show is called "Scraps" and is chronologically organized around four scenes, showing the progressions of American theatre from the gay '90's to cuts from recent productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar and Godspell.

The many musical selections which make up a large part of the show include: Diane Reed '73, singing 'Day by Day"; Dale Leigh '73, singing King Herod's song; and Folk Sounds is providing the background music for two numbers from Story Theatre.

Publicity chairman Dale Leigh 73 spoke about rehearsals saying, "It's really hard to organize so many people." Linda agrees that there is a lot of work involved, but 'has seen great improvements in the past weeks. The greatest thrill for me is seeing the whole thing develop so wonderfully," she exclaimed.

Student Council gives V‑Show its funds to work with and receives 70 percent of the profit. Student Council's responsibilities are to manage the business end of the production. This task falls mainly to Beth King '73, Social Committee chairman and production manager. Linda Costagli strongly feels that production and business must work together. "If we worry about the show and Student Council worries about the business, we can't miss!"
