Points to Ponder

By LORELEI RHINES

Proverbs often prove to be very interesting and often helpful. Although you can't really base your life on them, sometimes they seem to be just what a person needs to get through the day. Here are just a few "points to ponder":

You can never have a second chance to create a first impression.

Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.

Jealousy is a burning coal that smolders threateningly in the breast of those who harbor it.

God has a special key of comfort to fit every lock of sorrow.

Too many captains sink a ship.

A helpful friend in time of need is as valuable as a support to a leaning wall.

Compassion is the golden key that unlocks the heart of others.

Lazy people want much but get little!

Wisdom is its own reward.

A happy face means a glad heart.

It is an honor to receive a frank reply.
