Beginning Orchesis is a newly formed branch of Orchesis this year. The purpose of this club is to learn skills to make the girls better dancers.

The 10 new members in Beginning Orchesis are Joy Schultz '75, Pam Schultz '74, Mary Van Noy '74, Mary Ann Sullivan '74, Jill Bellon '75, Carolyn McGavin '75, Sharon Butenbach '75, Claudia Judy '76, Carol Langlois '74, and Anne Lawlor '76.

Orchesis still exists and the new members of this club are Danette Bianco '75, Jill Falstad '73, Gail Gawel '75, Debbie Jacunski '74, Gerri Damptz '75, Holly Norwick '75, Jo Ann Siska '76, Kathy Stephanson '74, Pam Nehring '73, and Dawn Peterson '76.

Other members are Nancy Wilson '76, Barb Sherman '75, Jill Shakespeare '74, Carol Volberding '74, Diana Vilkaitis '74, Linda Fedell '74, Karen McGavin '74, Terry Nelson '73, Paula Potter '75, Laura Ballauer '75, Debbi Butenbach '75, Deb Lambert '76, and Carol Slivka '74.


On October 25 the Home Economics Club is going to make cookies and candy. The girls who want to turn in a recipe must turn it in to Mrs. Marilyn Flick, sponsor, in C‑106 today. The school will supply all the ingredients needed. Officers will also be elected while the "goodies" are cooking.

Bowling Club meets every Tuesday at Sims Bowling Lanes after school. Transportation is provided. The newly elected officers of the Bowling Club are Al Mathis '73, president; Mary Junkrowski '73, secretary; and Anna Marie Szarzynski '75, treasurer.


Chess Club meets every Wednesday in C‑201 after school. The members will now be playing tournaments between each other. As of yet, no officers have been elected.


Hiking Club is not only going to be hiking this year, but they will also be bicycling in the forest preserves. A few weeks ago the club went on an overnight camping trip and are planning to go on another in the spring. The club will also attempt cross‑country skiing.

Hiking Club elected officers Thursday, October 12. They are Dave Trovillion '73, president; Jayne Henry '73, vice‑president; Linda Bihari '74, secretary; and Sandi Quellmalz '73, treasurer.
