Did You Know
Drama Students Win Honors;
Legal Questions To Be Answered

Did you know that Su Sciez '73, Joanne Huff '73, and former Maine West students, Bill Kopke, Heide Hanson, and Rita Westerfeld were honored in "Who's Who in High School Dramatics." The publication is distributed nationally in order to expand and assist in developing the field of fine arts and drama and recognizing outstanding participants. Drama teacher Mr. Ronald Mills was also noted in the publication.

Speaking of drama, did you know that to honor the late Mr. Garth Boyer, former Maine West assistant English chairman and drama teacher, a plaque was awarded by the District 207 Board of Education? The plaque hangs in the speech arts area of Maine West.

Mrs. Boyer stated about the honor, "I am sure my husband would be very proud to be honored in this way. It would please him to know that a plaque dedicated him is to be a permanent part of his area of the school."

Did you know that political candidates Charles Percy and Abner Mikva will be discussing their platforms at Maine West? Mr. Percy will be in the auditorium during eighth period today; Mr. Mikva will be in L‑101 third period on Tuesday, October 24.
