Intramurals began their flag football tournaments October 3. The result of the junior‑senior level saw the blue team as victors. The two teams fought to a 7 to 9 score at the end of the first half. By the end of the second half the blue team scored 13 more points, and the other team added 6. The final score was 20 to 15.

The blue team consisted of Paul Berner '74, Bill Klippert '74, Jeff Schwarz '74, Steve Niles '74, William Dalbec '74, Mike Lopata '74, and Mark Lunduick '74.

On October 12 the annual cross country run was held. In the senior division for the 1973 run, Joel Long took first place with a time of 5:31. Fred Tennyson ran to the time of 5:48, qualifying him for the second place title, and Barclay Herman holds the third place position.

On the junior level Gregg Gyssler, with the fastest time of all three levels, had a time of 5:30. The second place runner at that level was William Dalbec at a close 5:32. Third place was taken by Mike Holajn with a time of 5:48.

For the sophomore level Dan Frankowski took first with a time of 6:09. Dave Dziagwa holds the second place title with 6:29.
