If you hear Christmas music streaming from upstairs E‑wing, it is the Music Department busily rehearsing for this year's Christmas Concert which will be held on Thursday, December 14, at 8 p.m. in the auditorium.
Choraliers, Girls' Glee, Girls' Ensemble, Concert Choir, Concert Orchestra, and Brass Choir along with two beginning girls' choruses and one beginning boys chorus will take part in the program. These students will perform different Christmas songs.
The "Gloria" by Antoine Vivaldi will be performed by the Concert Choir and Concert Orchestra. This performance is unique because the Concert Choir and Orchestra will be combined. Solos in the "Gloria" will be performed by Ginger Reinhart '73, Chris Johanson '73, and Diane Reed '73. Kathy Pazdioch '73 and Nancy Evans '73 will do a duet.

Several of the songs performed at the Christmas Concert will be "Carol of the Bells" by Girls' Glee, "Twelve Days of Christmas" by the Choraliers, and "Christmas is Corning" by Girls' Glee. A special arrangement by organ and bras will perform "Joy to the World."
The Concert Orchestra will be performing a number of other songs as well as the Vivaldi "Gloria." A Christmas fugue on "We Wish You a Merry Christmas," "Good King Wenceslas," arranged by Morton Gould, and a collection o Christmas songs will be performed by the Orchestra.
Another unique characteristic of the Christmas Concert this year besides the Vivaldi "Gloria" will be the uniforms of the girls in Concert Orchestra. For the first time the girls will have distinctive uniforms since each of the girls made a long black skirt.
