'Wrestlers Outlook Shaky';
Only Six Returning Lettermen

Wrestling season is now under way. It is too difficult to predict how the Maine West streetfighters are going to do this year. Last year the Warrior wrestlers finished a spectacular season with a 7‑1 final record. Their only loss came at the hands of a rugged Maine South squad.

Mr. Richard Carlini, Maine West wrestling coach, stated that this year's outlook is quite shaky. We are also in the shuffling stage. We are looking for the best possible wrestlers for each weight division.

When asked if the team had any potential all conference wrestlers, Coach Carlini remarked, "Not at the moment, but we have a good wrestler in Fred Gano '73." Maine West has only six returning lettermen. They are not a real strong unit. They lack depth.

The Warrior wrestlers had their first meet of the new season. They met a reasonably tough Prospect High School team. The teams tied 29‑29.

This Friday night the wrestlers from Maine West face Oak Park. On Saturday the Warriors take on Morton.
