Quad Council

Quad Council, a unique new organization formed through the cooperation of the four Maine high schools, held its first meeting on December 6. The Quad Council of District 207 is made up of four representatives and the Student Council president from each Maine high school.

The purpose of the Quad Council is to provide a better communication between the four schools and the superintendent and to work on all issues that involve district policy. The January 17 hearing at Maine East about a smoking lounge and bookstore procedures were discussed at the first meeting.

The representatives from Maine West are Mark Eichhorn '73, Student Council president; Peter Farmer '74, Cindy Atkinson '74, Tina Labellarte '74, and Jeff Dennis '75. At the December 6 meeting Jeff Dennis '75 was elected president of Quad Council.

Accepting this position, Jeff and Maine West lost one vote. Therefore, Bob Kraves '75 has taken Jeff's place as representative. Tina Labellarte '74 was elected secretary but did not lose voting privileges.
