Grapplers Loosen Grip

The Maine West Warrior wrestlers have gotten off to a reasonably slow start. The Warrior wrestlers have lost three, tied one, and won one. The losses came at the hands of three tough teams, Wheeling, Oak Park, and a rugged Glenbrook North team. All losses were close.

When asked who the tougher teams of the Central Suburban League conference are, Coach Richard Carlini stated that Glenbrook South and North were very tough, also Maine South.

The top wrestlers this year are Fred Gano '73, who is undefeated, sophomore Bryan Real, also undefeated, and Tom Willming '73. So far no serious injuries have been sustained by the Warrior squad.

The Warrior wrestlers next Friday take on Highland Park which should be quite a battle. The Maine West varsity wrestlers will also compete in a Lake Park tournament December 29 at Lake Park.
