On Friday, February 16, and Saturday, February 17, the Hungarian and American gymnastics team will be competing with each other in an "international dual meet" sponsored by the United States Gymnastics Federation, here at Maine West.
During the Olympics in Munich this summer, the United States men's gymnastics team placed tenth, and the Hungarian team placed ninth. In the women's division the United States placed fourth and Hungary placed third.
The teams consist of six men and women from both sides. The men will be competing on still rings, side horse, floor exercise, parallel bars, and vaulting.

The youngest competitor is a 13‑year‑old from Louisville, Kentucky who was last year's Junior National Champion. Other ages from the American team range from 13 to 24 and 19 to 28 from the Hungarian Olympic team.
Tickets for the Friday and Saturday night meets are on sale in the bookstore for each 7:30 performance. Prices are $3 for one night or $5 for both nights.
