Did You Know
Students Perform Various Feats

Did you know Deb Peterson '73 and Jo Kaminski, January graduate, attended Governor Daniel Walker's January 8th, Inaugural Ball? The two were invited because of their outstanding district campaign work for Governor Walker.


Did you know Concert Band flutist Diane Prorak '74 has been chosen as guest soloist to play with the Northshore Philharmonica this spring? Chosen from 30 young musicians, Diane will perform Kennan's "Night Soliuiquy."

Speaking of musicians, did you know percussionist Anne Detzner '73, string bass player Jim Hajost '74, and vocalists Dale Leigh '73 and Ginger Reinhart '73 were selected to represent the Maine West Music Department in All‑State Music Activities. The activities took place January 25 through 27 at the Arlington Towers Hotel.


For all juniors‑to‑be, did you know Maine West offers a combined history and English course for the junior year? American studies lasts for two periods each day, counts as two credits and one grade, and fulfills the English III and US history requirements.
