CONGRATS, CATHY!

Cathy Aulert has won the title of being Maine West's 1973 winner of the Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow Award. This achievement now makes her eligible for future competition.

SPEAK UP TIME

There will be an all day School Improvement Seminar on Thursday, February 22, in L‑102. Student Council members and school administrators will be on hand to listen to constructive criticism and discuss school problems. All students are invited to come during any of their free periods.

SORRY, MOVIE FANS

The movie scheduled by Student Council for tonight has been cancelled.

SOPH. GIRLS ONLY, PLEASE

On March 7 an assembly for sophomore girls will be held to introduce them to the Junior Leader program. Kathy Sahs '73 will begin the presentation by introducing the board members and then show some slides. Applications for the program will be given out.

SCHOOL'S OUT!

School will be recessed for a day at least because Friday. March 2, has been declared a teacher institute day. Just think an extra day to catch up on studies!

BETTER BUSSING

Due to the continuing complaints by the student body here at Maine West, a representative from United Motor Coach was sent to meet members of the Student Council on February 8. A question and answer period was held concerning recent bus complaints. No definite action for the future has been decided on as of yet.

POLITICAL FANFARE

Student Council elections are approaching and are expected to be held sometime in March. A set date is not yet known.

LEADERS DISPLAY

Junior Leaders will occupy the library display cases starting March 1. Kathy Zyrokowski is heading the project, which will center around the activities of the Junior Leaders.
