MOVIES
American Graffiti - PG nostaglic comedy about t h e corny teenage life during the last of the 50's - 1962. Stars Richard Drefuss, Ronny Howard, and Cindy Williams.
A Touch of Class - PG George Segal plays a married American living in London, and Glenda Jackson plays a London divorcee with two children. The fun starts when the two decide to have an affair. A delicious romantic comedy.
Jeremy - PG - sugary, simple, yet delicate love story about two high schoolers' love for each other and how they mature because of it. Stars Robby Benson and Glynnis O'Connor.
Jesus Christ Superstar - G - the spectacular movie version of the play of the same name, complete with a vibrant rock score, exotic dancers, and the Israeli desert as the setting. Stars Ted Neely, Carl Anderson, and Yvonne Eliman.
The Legend of Hell House PG - not terribly frightening but fun. An old English manor with an evil ruler who mysteriously disposes of all who try to explore the manor. The adventure begins when a new group dares to learn the dark secret of the manor. Stars Pamela Franklin and Roddy McDowell.
PLAYS
Children of the Wind – made its world premier in Chicago on Wednesday. About an Irish actor, played by James Callahan, unable to cope with success. Set in New York Theatrical boarding house during the 1930's.
Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope - a fantastically warm funny, lively, successful musical concerning the black experience.
Grease -1950's musical comedy written by Chicagoans Warren Casey and Jim Jacobs about their teenage days in Chicago.
The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit - a Chicago premier comedy written by Ray Bradbury about a Puerto Rican who lures four men his identical size to share a suit with him.
