Booters Take Three
With six games behind them the 1973-74 varsity soccer team has a record of 3-2-1. Two of their victories came in conference games, both against Glenbrook Schools, North and South.

Returning lettermen for the team include Jim Geils '74, Bill Wadman '75, and Steve Jacobson '74. Coach David Winter said that some of the team's truly outstanding players are Bill Georgepoulous '75, Steve Niles '74, and Peter Solanz '74.

Coach Winter felt that the team would have a better record if it weren't for the injuries and illnesses that have plagued the Warrior team so far this year. One of these injuries happened to Randy Van Vleck '75. Van Vleck suffered an injured knee and will be out for an indefinite period of time.
The sophomores are off to a great start with a 6-0 record. They have scored 20 points, and their opponents have only scored once .- in the first quarter of the first game. Their latest victory was 2-0 against Glenbrook South. Coach Ron Brown said that much of the credit should go to men like Greg Koeller '76. Greg has scored in all but one game. Other outstanding sophomores are Russ Goebels, Buddy Dorskin, Dan Pocius, Mike Serna, Doug Unzicker, and Glenn Watson.

Mr. Brown said that when a team gets a streak of victories the players will try their hardest even in games that are seemingly unimportant. Tonight at 6:30 the Warriors will battle Maine South in what both Coaches Brown and Winter called the most important game of the year. The varsity match will begin at 8 while the sophomores face‑off at 6.
