Girls Drop First Swim Contest
The Maine West Girls' Swim Team was confronted with strong competition in their first meet on Tuesday, September 25, against New Trier West. The team was defeated by a final score of 67‑47.
The meet, however, was not viewed as a complete loss by swimming coach Ms. Terry Milam. She felt that the team. had swum much better than anticipated, with improved times and improved performance on the part of many of the girls.

The members of the swimming team this year include: Nancy Bistany '74, Pam Bruderle '75, Kathy Erikson '75, Betty Evans '75, Sue Levand '75, Kathy Maihack '75, Sheila McNulty '75, Mary Rossi '75, Pat Zipple '75, Terri Androff '76, Darlene Bednarski '76, Robin Downing '76, Sharon Matkovic '76, Arlene Mundt '76, Anna Rossi '76, Mary Suda '76, Sue Bowersox '76, and Chris Heil '76.
The next swimming meet will take place at Maine South, on Thursday, October 4.
