Badminton Team Edges Niles North
On March 5 the girls' badminton team lost to Deerfield by a score of 3-4. They then dropped a second meet to Niles West by a score of 1-6. March 14 found the girls winning over Niles North by 4-3.
Top scorers in their three meets were Monica Polacek '74, who lost only one match, and Kathy Shuttleworth '75 and Karen Batey '75, both of whom lost only two games apiece.
"They have all shown a great deal of improvement this year," commented the girls' coach, Ms. Royleen Tipton. "For the most part they were first year players."
