M‑Club Defeats Faculty In Donkey Basketball
This year's donkey basketball game was held on Tuesday, April 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Herman L. Rider Memorial Gymnasium. There were three separate games held, each lasting approximately 30 minutes.
The first game was between the Pom-Pon and Cheerleaders against the GRA. The Cheerleaders scored a decisive victory with a score of 9-6. The girls did not have to actually shoot the ball through the hoop. A point was scored if the ball hit the rim.
The M-Club played the faculty in the second game. For the first time in donkey basketball history M-Club beat the faculty by a score of 10-4. This game was the roughest of the evening.
In the third game the M-Club played the Cheerleaders and Pom-Pon Squad. Despite the girls' strenuous efforts, they were beaten with a score of 14-8. Tim Laurie '75 riding Snuffy was the big scorer of the night with six points.
Mr. Joe Jobst gave the play by play account of the game, adding both color and entertainment to the activity.
