Editor's Note:
In the February 22 issue of the Westerner we asked several students what they thought of compulsory assemblies. At that time the only assemblies that had been held were sports assemblies.

For this issue the same question was asked this time in reference to the compulsory Brotherhood Assembly. Many of the responses are different.

Perhaps compulsory assemblies should be carefully scrutinized to weed out programs which provide no real interest to the student. If the entire school is to be let out of classes for assemblies, at least the programs should be interesting.

What do you think of compulsory assemblies?

Lorri Swanson '75 - My enjoying them depends on what kind of mood I'm in. To be perfectly honest, I only go to pep assemblies to socialize.

Bob Arnold '76 - I like them because I get to go home early or go to Yankee Doodle.

Luanne Wallin '78 - I wouldn't know; I've never been to one.

Pam Hayes '77 - I like them for one reason: I get out of class.

Cindy Liszewski '76 - There should be less of them.

Mary Anderson '77 - I don't think they should be mandatory because why not let kids go home if they have no classes afterward.

Mary Fuller '74 - Yes, it's a part of our school spirit.
What did you think of the Brotherhood Assembly?

Lorrie Swanson '75 - It was a big farce, only two people up there deserved the award.

Bob Arnold '76 - I wouldn't know: I didn't go.

Luanne Wallin '76 - It was O.K. I really don't like them, but what can I say?

Pam Hayes '77 - I liked it; it was pretty good.

Cindy Liszewski '76 – I thought the group was real good; I liked it.

Mary Anderson '77 - I didn't go; I was sick.

Mary Fuller '74 - It was O.K.; the group was real good.
