Glen Dalbke
"Glen Dalbke is by far the best golfer that ever attended Maine West." Those were the words of varsity golf coach, Mr. Ken Olson, who has seen a lot of golfers hit on the links.
Dalbke's performance over the past season merits the praise given him by Coach Olson. A three‑year regular on the varsity golf team, Dalbke was the Central Suburban League Medalist Champion averaging 37.2 strokes per nine holes in conference competition.
Mr. Olson went on to say that Dalbke has "...a great amount of poise and self‑confidence. He combines all the qualities necessary to be a great competitor." The golf team's MVP carded an 80 at districts, a 78 at sectionals, and a most respectable 75, 81 for a total of 156 in state competition.
Glen plans on attending Northern Illinois University next fall where he also plans to play golf.
