'40's and '50's Come Back
During '70's by Movies
Class of '44 is a delightful romantic comedy! The setting takes place in the year 1944, as the title suggests, together with bobbysocks and dark cupidbowed lipstick. This movie will be enjoyed by the young and not‑so young.
The leads are played by Gary Crimes, Jerry Houser, and Deborah Winters, with a fine supporting cast. The plot centers around the many trials and tribulations of young people entering college.
The blossoming of a beautiful love affair between Jerry Houser and Deborah Winters will bring back some tender memories for many, and the uproariously funny antics and the results will more than tickle your "funny‑bone." Gary Crimes becomes involved with a student working her way through college.
His attempts to help her lead to disaster. There is a very touching scene concerning the death of Jerry's father, and other sad complications follow.
American Graffiti
American Graffiti is a nostalgic movie about the youngsters of yesteryear. The whole movie takes place in the span of a single night and morning which follows four main characters: the greaser in his hot car, the wimp with thick glasses trying to be a man, the intellect who wants to go to college but will lose his girl, and the loser who is always looking for something.
American Graffiti features a burger city with carhops on roller skates, gangs, and constant pranks which show that kids never really change.
The show is always stressing how important it is to get away from home and see the world and is against those who stay.
