Perfect End Shot
The Maine West Girls' Archery Team has a season record of 2-2. They were victorious at Niles East at winning 9-1 and lost their second meet to Glenbrook 9-1.
Sandy Sadler '75, Maine West's number one archer, made history by shooting a perfect end from 20 yards scoring six consecutive bulleyes at the Glenbrook North meet. This was the first time in the history of Maine West competitive archery that an archer shot a perfect end.
The tri‑conference meet was on Thursday, October 18. The three schools competing were Maine West, Glenbrook North, Maine and Niles East. Sandy, Barb Breider '76, Ora Royal '74, Kathy Dueball '75, and Ginger Holm '76 were arching for Maine West at the tri‑conference meet. Barb won a fourth place trophy for her 312 score at the meet. The next event for the Girls' Archery Team is the Spring Intramurals.
