VOL. XV, NO. 3
Although the fighting Warriors' did not win the game, Homecoming was not completely lost. The Maine West Marching Band along with the Pom Pon girls organized one of the best Homecoming half times that Maine West has ever seen.
The band formed into different objects as the spectators went back in time to their first days at Maine West.
First there was a typical Maine West hail where freshmen are sure to get trampled. The band then outlined a bus and the memories of that first ride home were brought back to the minds of many.
The heart formation was the one that many students related to as the Pom Pon girls did their routine to "Close To You."
Friday, October 26, was the last march on the field for 35 senior band members. After the 35 seniors were saluted for their outstanding service, the moment that all had been waiting for arrived. The 19'73 Homecoming Queen was announced and Adrienne Szczygiel '74 was crowned this year's queen. Her escort was senior Pete Bogner.
