Mr. Harris Dies
The Westerner wishes to express its sympathy to the family and friends of Mr. Robert Harris. Mr. Harris, who taught in the Social Science Department at Maine West for four years, died Wednesday evening at Lutheran General Hospital following open heart surgery. He was 44.
In addition to being an ordained Methodist minister, Mr. Harris was the sponsor of the Debate Team. He is survived by his wife, Renee, and three children. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart Fund. Visitation will be tonight at the Oehler Funeral Home; the funeral will be tomorrow at 2 p.m.
"It is with profound shock and sorrow that we lost a colleague and a comrade. We'll all miss him very much," commented Mr. Eric Edstrom, chairman of the Social Science Department.
