Inside my soul a flame flickers
While far beyond fate knowingly snickers
The leaping flame with unknown desire
Surges forth in a misty glow.
All around me hazy fog swirls
While thoughts turn depths
Into counterpoint harmony.
Only the sea with its mysterious atmosphere
Possesses the power to snuff the haunting flame
For that which creates can also destroy.
And if by chance the flame survives
The crashing tides and complex designs
I shall go forth in spirit
Seeking the vast domain,
Which does not exist, but is there
Just at the end of my fingertips
Beyond the stars
