Gymnasts Open Season
The Maine West Warrior gymnastics squad opens their 1973 season tonight in a home meet against Addison Trails, starting at 6:30.

The team has only four lettermen returning to this year's squad. They are Steve Taylor '74 and Ken Heller '74 on all around, and Marc Schludt '74 and Kevin Henderson '74 on trampoline and floor exercise.
Therefore this year's squad will be a very inexperienced one with many juniors and possibly some sophomores being pressed into varsity action.

Head Coach Sid Drain, who has been coaching here for 14 years says, "Niles East, North, and South will be tough along with Glenbrook South and Maine South." When asked what kind of a person would make a good gymnast, Coach Drain said, "A person about 5'5" to 5'9" with a slight build, very flexible, better than average strength, and a low fear factor."
