Clauses Come
Santa Makes Holiday Visit
Caroling, card sending, parties, and rushing for last minute presents are all part of Christmas. Maine West will really be in the holiday spirit today as Santa and his wife come to spread good cheer to the students here.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in the cafeteria during periods 4, 5, and 6. The two will be dressed in their traditional holiday garb and will be located in front of the school Christmas tree.
Talking with Santa some questions came up - one being, what did he and Mrs. Claus do on cold winter nights? Santa, being the jolly soul he is, answered, "How do you think we get all of those elves?"
Another question was his method for giving good kids toys. He answered that the number of toys a child received depended on "how many cookies he leaves me."
The energy crisis seems to have hit the North Pole also, Santa said he was taking drastic measures such as putting Rudolph's nose on daylight savings time.
Santa is looking forward to hearing the Christmas wishes of Maine West students (although, he insists everyone must sit on his lap) and will be giving away surprises.
