Shortage May Leave Us
Out of Textbooks, Toilet Paper
By JAYNE WRIGHT

One of the new but important problems that is causing a great deal of commotion and inconvenience is the paper shortage. Think of all the uses of paper.

How will students and teachers react when they find a school year beginning without any textbooks, no writing or typing paper, and no possibility of tests? AU lessons would have to be oral. How could little children learn to write? What would they write on, and what would they read?

Numerous food stores have begun to restrict their employees from doubling bags. Already many accidents have been occurring such as, the little old lady chasing her onions all over the parking lot. Speculations are that in the future people will have to bring their own bags in order to carry out their groceries.
Did you hear about the toilet paper shortage? Now there's a real crisis!

The idea of a cardless birthday is sad, but unfortunately there may come a time when there will be no cards to be found. No birthday, greeting, sympathy, get well, anniversary, or holiday cards. Could a Christmas without cards ever be imagined.

Losing contact with friends and relatives in far away places will also be prevalent. Without stationery or any type of paper, pen pals will become obsolete.

The worst outcome would be the disappearance of paper airplanes from the classroom. Students will obviously have to find a new way to entertain themselves during the class.
