Chop Your Own Tree
You don't have to live in the north woods to chop down your own old‑fashioned Christmas tree. Listed below are several tree farms in the area that can provide a fresh evergreen for Christmas.

Oney Christmas Tree Farm is located in Woodstock at 16608 Northwest Highway (Route 14). From 10 to dusk daily, 2 to 10 foot red, white, or Scotch pines may be cut.
Donald O. Van Ness Farm is on Indian Creek Road near Mundelein. The farm is open from 8 to 3 each day and Scotch, white, Jack, or Norway pines are available for $5.

Norris Farm is near Sugar Grove on Norris Road just north of Bliss. Jack, red, or white pines and cedar trees can be cut from 8 to 4 daily, and all trees are $3 plus tax.
