VOL. XV, NO. 8
What do you think of compulsory assemblies?
Lorrie Swanson '75 - My enjoying them depends on what kind of mood I'm in. To be honest, I only go to pep assemblies to socialize.
Ron Kaminski '76 - I just go to talk and cause trouble.
Bob Arnold '76 - I like them because I get to go home early or go to Yankee Doodle.
Jeff Schwarz '74 - I don't like them because assemblies should be only for the people who are really interested in the subject of the assembly. If someone is not interested in a pep assembly, then he should not be required to go.
Mrs. Mary Jobst - I don't see why people wouldn't want to attend. Things that used to be privileges are now something to gripe about.
Joe Parsons '76 - What good are they?
Jim Kleiner '74 - They're fine as long as they take up a lot of class time.
Luanne Wallln '76 - I wouldn't know; I've never been to one.
Donna Daniels '77 - They're dumb. They're a waste of time.
Mark Cizek '74 - I fail to have a striving passion to attend mandatory "pep" assemblies!
Eileen Karstens '76 - If you want to go and pep your guts out for the great M.W., I'd rather go elsewhere.
Pam Hayes '77 - I like them for one reason: I get out of class.
Lori Setnan '75 - We should have our choice of going to the assembly or going somewhere else.
Peggy Seeber '75 - I don't like the pep assemblies. I think you should have more dances or groups come here and play.
Steve Southwick '75 -- I think they're a waste of time.
Mary Fuller '74 - Yes, it's a part of our school spirit.
Mark Callahan '74 - It's unconstitutional.
Eileen Flynn '74 - I think it's stupid because the kids that don't want to go make a lot of noise.
Pat LaPointe '77 - As long as I get out of class, I don't care.
Mr. Dean Buckingham - All assemblies should be cancelled, period.
Glenn Larson '74 - I don't care for 'em, ya know, man?
Terry Ritz '74 - Sounds like breakfast time to me.
Mary Anderson '77 - I don't think they should be mandatory because why not let kids go home if they have no classes afterwards.
Randy Zirkle '74 - My mind becomes fatigued upon comprehension of mandatory activities inspired by the institution of school. Keep on truckin'. Peace, love.
Mrs. Judy Beck - I think that they should make assemblies more interesting so the students would naturally want to come.
Mr. Robert Twohill - If the administration says we should have them, they should be mandatory.
Coach Richard Shelhamer - Assemblies are good things for spirit, but they should not be mandatory. Maybe they should be put at the end of the day.
Steve Szafranski '77 - I think they're a drag.
Cindy Liszewski '76 - There should be less of them.
Carol Volberding '74 - Some of the assemblies are necessary such as AFS. Pep assemblies aren't.
