Pop Wins Popularity Race
As she walks down the aisle, I she sees mountains, hills, and plateaus of glass and metal containers. The containers hold the sweet carbonated liquids o f pleasure - from the "Dr." to the "Un" to the "Real Thing."

Because she has "a lot to live" she buys the soft drink with "a lot to give" and leaves the store, making the soft drink company a little richer, American soft drink consumption a little higher, and helping soft drinks win "the race."
Soft drinks have won first prize in the American beverage consumption race. According to statistics every American of every age annually guzzles 30 gallons of soft drinks - an 80 per cent increase in 10 years.

Closely following soft drinks in consumption are wine, of which each American annually sips one and one‑half gallons; beer, of which each American annually drinks 20 gallons; and whiskey, of which each American annually downs two gallons.

What ever happened to water?
