Changes Come To Maine West
The school has had more building a n d maintenance changes completed this summer than at any time in Maine West's history.

The whole L‑wing including the library has been air‑conditioned. In this wing especially, students should try to be more careful about shutting the doors, it will be a very costly waste if they are left open.

Changes have also been occurring in the boys' locker room in the Rider Gym. They have been widened. There are also changes occurring with the shower and drying facilities in this area. This project is not yet completed.

In A‑wing the showers have been completely rebuilt. The reason for the rebuilding of these showers is a leakage which could not be stopped.
The pool has a new glass, brick wall which is replacing the sliding doors which used to be there. This new wall will help to control temperature of the pool more effectively.

There have also been new exterior doors installed in the bus concourse, in the front of the school, and at both pool entrances.

In the front of the school a new road was built right over the old one; no breaking up of the old road was necessary. The Maine West football stadium stands will be reconstructed so that there is no space in between any of the seats.

There are a network of catwalks being installed in the area above the auditorium. This will permit the stage and lighting crews to move around more safely up there.
