New Teachers Come to West
The Maine West teaching staff has added 10 teachers and one counselor from the nation's "finest educational institutions to its roster," according to Mr. John Graef, assistant principal.

The Science Department has added three new teachers: Miss Mary Kate Clark, a physical science teacher, to replace Mr. Joseph Jobst, who has become a principal in Pontiac, Illinois; Mr. Geroge Twardy, biology teacher from Maine South replacing Mr. Floyd Raspifier, who is on leave; and Mr. Larry Rycholowski, physics teacher from Maine East replacing Mr. Don Porter, who has taken the position of science chairman at Forest View.

The Home Economics Department has added two new teachers. Miss Claire Watson is replacing Mrs. Norma Christensen for one year. Miss Barbara Brouse is a brand new teacher in a new field of Home Economcs; she is a new cooperative education coordinator in the field of clothing, textiles, and interior designing.
In the field of data processing Miss Clara Symonds is a one‑year replacement for Mrs. Jeanette Wiederholt.

The Art Department has added Miss Michele Di Carlo who is replacing Mr. Mark Matson.

The new special education program is being taught by Mrs. Caroline Ewart.

The new counselor is Mrs. Carol Fritts, who is replacing Mr. James Gary, who has become a cooperative education coordinator.

To the driver education department one new teacher has been added, Mr. Jerry Muccianti. Mr. Muccianti was formerly of Maine South.
