On Sunday, September 29, the Chicago Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will hold a Bike‑A‑Thon in seven different areas of Chicago and suburbs. It will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine.
The first step is for riders to sign up sponsors to pledge a certain amounts per mile. Then, on the day of the Bike‑A‑Thon you will be checked off at each checkpoint to show how many miles you have ridden. After total mileage is computed riders return to their sponsors and collect their pledges.
Money raised by the Bike-A‑Thon will support local programs to help the victims of MS. and their families as well as much needed research.
