Twirling Corps Holds Tryouts

The Maine West twirling corps tryouts are going to be held April 9 in the A‑wing gym. Clinics will be held on April 7 and 8. Any girl, regardless of experience, can attend the clinics and try out for the corps. Maine West twirlers perform at all school and marching functions. Girls who are already on the corps do not need to try out again.

Little Bits

Spring vacation is coming up starting March 24 and ending March 30. The next holiday following this will be May 30.

Mrs. Linda Sargis became the mother of a baby boy on March 9. He weighed 7 pounds 8 ounces and was named Ryan.

Sophomore Cheerleaders Hold Tryouts

Sophomore cheerleading tryouts are going to be held on April 10. Clinics are being held April 7, 8, and 9. All freshman girls are welcome to try out.
SAT To Be Held April 5

The Scholastic Aptitude Test is going to be held on April 5 at 8 a.m. in the cafeteria and in other assorted rooms. This test is required by many out of state colleges. To take this test you must have registered.

ACT Registration Still Open

The American College Test is April 26. You must register for this test by Monday, March 31, in order to take it. You can pick up registration forms in the Personnel Office. This test is required by many in state colleges.

Mrs. Ogg To Retire

Mrs. Priscilla Ogg, a teacher at South School, will retire at the end of the school year. The South School faculty and PTA will honor her at South School on May 27. Gift contributions are due by April 15.
