Heyse Scores 23 Against Niles N.
The girls' varsity basketball team has a record of one win and seven losses. The junior varsity team has a record of two wins and three losses.
The varsity basketball team was defeated by Niles North, 44-43, on February 27 in a home game. Jan Heyse '75 was the team's high scorer with 23 points and six rebounds. Ruth Bernick '75 was next with 12 points and one rebound. Kim Friend '75 scored four baskets and had 15 rebounds.
The junior varsity team achieved a victory over Niles North, 26-19. Sue Kelly '78 scored eight points and also had six rebounds. Irene Weingartner '78 scored six points. Karen Stocco '78 totaled five points.
On March 5 the varsity and junior varsity teams were victorious against Deerfield in an away game. The varsity won by a score of 32-29 and the junior varsity by 30-28. Kim Friend was the high scorer in this game with 10 points and nine rebounds.
