VOL. XVI, NO. 11
By LAURA BALLAUER
The bell is about to ring
and I realize that with its final song
I will begin another journey.
But before I leave these hallowed halls
I want to take one final look
at my rights and wrongs.
I wonder if these walls could talk
what they would say as I walk.
What advice could they lend,
what criticism,
what fantastic stories of years gone
could these halls inform me of.
This is my one last desperate attempt
to photograph my last four years,
to hold on and savor each rapid passing moment,
to remember and act the vocal part of these walls.
But time does not stop
for those who dream on and on,
for the bell is about to ring,
and I realize that with its song
I will begin another journey.
