VOL. XVI, NO. 11
This year's tennis team is getting into its season, but the bad weather is causing some delays. Varsity Coach Roger King and frosh‑soph Coach Robert Goerne are very optimistic about the coming season.
The varsity team is young with Rick Petrucci '75 the only returning letterman. Last season Petrucci made semi‑finals in the districts and will probably be the netmen's strongest player because of his experience.
The squad will be playing against some top teams this year. The object of the season is to build up the young team for next year, since most of the members will be returning.
Making up the varsity team are Petrucci, Mike Hand '76, also an experienced player, Mike McGraw '76, Tim Keenley '76, John Minardi '77, Al Finch '77, and Bob Wyatt '78.
Commenting on the season Coach King said, "We have a very young team, yet we have enough skill to make it through the season. Next year, with this season's experience behind us, we should have a winning team."
