Industrial Students Win Awards
Northern Illinois University held an Industrial Arts Project Fair on April 11. Four Maine West students entered their projects, and they all won awards.

Bob Moore '76 won a first place for making an aluminum pool cue. John Noftz '77 made a heavy wall pipe bender and was awarded a second place. John is donating his pipe bender to the metal shop. Tom Dreiling '78 also won a second place for making a brass plumb bob.
Glen Rollo '77 was awarded third place for his nickel plated riveting hammer. These projects will be on display at the Art Festival.

Mr. Robert Twohill said, "The boys worked very hard, and they all did a very good job. The boys had to do the required projects during class time and work on their project for the Industrial Ant Fair on their own." Each boy worked on his own project by himself. Mr. Twohill could only give suggestions but he could not help work on the project.
