End of Senior Year Is
'A Time for Us'
"A Time for Us" is the theme for the Senior Class Prom being held at the Michigan Shores Country Club in Wilmette. This big event will take place on June 6 from 8:30 until 11:30 p.m.

The Prom arrangements have been organized by class council. They have selected the Jim Bestman Orchestra to provide the music. The invitations were sent to each senior including January graduates along with a reservation card. Karen Porter headed the invitation committee. Linda Hillstrom and Terri Martin were in charge of promotion.

All seniors attending the dance will receive maps to the country club. At the dance, refreshments will be served by the club. The Arthur David Greenburg Company will supply the bids which will be for remembrance of the dance. There will be a photographer at the dance to take pictures of each couple if they want it.
Tickets for the dance are to be purchased in the bookstore for $5 and the reservation card that came with the invitation. The dance is a formal affair with the girls in long dresses and the boys in tuxedos and dark suits. One person out of each couple attending the dance must be a Maine West senior.

Carol Kent, president of the Senior Class, had this to say about the dance. "The Senior Prom is the last big event in high school for any senior, and we are hoping everyone will realize this, find a date, and come and make it a big success."

Other Senior Class officers are Patti Bouman, vice‑president; Sue Paska, secretary; and Cheryl Van Putte, treasurer. The class sponsors are Miss Stephanie Hayes and Mr. Richard Frey.
