Intramurals
For the past few years the Boys' Intramural Department has awarded individual trophies to the two boys in each class who have participated the most in intramural athletics during the year. A point system is used and the boys who gain the most points are awarded the trophies.
Points range from 50 for first place, or class championship, to 10 for third place. A Maine West intramural emblem is awarded to every boy who wins a class championship in an individual sport.

The same award is given to members of a class championship team. The trophies and felt emblems are on display in the east foyer of the swimming pool.
Intramural softball competition is now under way. The annual track meet is scheduled for today, with the juniors and seniors starting ninth period and the freshmen and sophomores after school.
