Graduation, Baccalaureate Add
Final Touches To Senior Year
Baccalaureate will be held Sunday, June 8, in the Herman L. Rider Memorial Gymnasium. The Commencement ceremony will be held Thursday, June 12, at 7 p.m., also in the Rider Gymnasium. At both the Baccalaureate and the Commencement, the graduation robes are required.

The Junior Honor Guard will be present on both dates. The Junior Honor Guard is Jennifer Rose Bruns, Karen Lee Degenhart, Joan Emily DeLaet, Roberta Ann Downing, Elizabeth Ann Forkins, and David Daniel Kennedy.

Others are Richard Joseph La Sota, Betty Tina Latson, Linda Rose Lowenherz, Janan Lee Lundgren, Kevin Lee Miller, Barbara Elaine Olson, Brian Donald Pilch, Therese Ann Plas, Sandra Lea Scheffel, and Jean Ann Schillmoeller.

The Baccalaureate Orchestra will be conducted by Mr. Francis Vaupel. The Baccalaureate Concert Choir will be conducted by Mr. Donald Lord, accompanied by Miss Lorelie Rhines. The Commencement Band will be conducted by Mr. Robert D. Kuite.

For the Baccalaureate Miss Cheryl Ann VanPutte, treasurer of the Senior Class, will read the invocation. Miss Patricia Gail Bouman, vice-president of the Senior Class, will read the Scriptures.
The sermon, "Your Debt to Society," will be given by Pastor James D. Bouman of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Des Plaines. The Benediction will be given by the secretary of the Senior Class, Miss Suzanne Kimberly Paska.

During the Commencement ceremony, the invocation will be read by Mr. Michael West of the North Area Campus Life. Mr. James L. Coburn, principal, will present watches to Mr. Richard B. Frey, mathematics teacher, Mr. Robert Kuite, Music Department chairman, and Mr. Wayne I. Rosenquist, the Director of Guidance, each for 25 years of service to Maine Township.

The welcome address and Maine West Scholars will be announced by Carol Ann Kent, the Senior Class president. Two scholars chosen from the top one percent of the Senior Class will give the Commencement Addresses.

Dr. Michael J. Myers, Assistant Superintendent of Maine Township High School District No. 207, will present the class. The Board of Education will present the diplomas and the graduates will be announced by Mr. Daryl D. Schultz and M r. George J. Walker, Jr.

Graduates are given three tickets for the Baccalaureate and three for the Commencement Exercise. Miss Mae Jean Engen is in charge of the distribution of these tickets.
