Top Seniors Get Department Awards

At Honors Assembly
At this morning's Honors Assembly 16 students were praised for their accomplishments in 13 departments.
Departmental awards are given to seniors by various departments on the basis of scholastic averages and all-around school citizenship. Each department gave two awards if they desired to do so.
The students who received such awards must have completed a minimum of three years' work taken in the department. Scholastic averages are then computed by averaging all the grades for the work taken in the department during the entire four years of high school.
As of last year, students were eligible to receive more than one departmental award. However, this year no student received more than one award.
Each of the 16 senior seniors received an award certificate presented by the chairman of the department honoring them.
