I Lied
By BEVERLY KONOP

I'm so glad I'm through with school,
No more teachers, no more rules,

No more getting here at eight,
No more calling 'cuz I'm late,

No more classes, no more tension,
No more serving those detentions.

No more making up excuses,
No more taking teachers abuses.

"I FORGOT!"
Was one of my most classic excuses.

Or, "The dog ate my homework!"
"It's not my fault!"

"I really won't miss that school!" I cried.
I lied.
