VOL. XVI, NO. 2
OCTOBER 18, 1974
Welcome Parents
Open House, sponsored by the PTC, will be held on Tuesday, October 29, and Thursday, November 7, as part of the activities of American Education Week which is October 27 to November 2. School will be dismissed early at 2:40 p.m. on both of these days.

Teachers will be in their classrooms from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Parents whose last names begin with letters A‑L are asked to attend on Tuesday night. Those whose last names begin with M‑Z should attend on Thursday night. If parents are unable to attend on their specified night, they are welcome to attend the other night.

Mr. John Graef, assistant principal, encourages the attendance of at least one parent at the Open House because he feels, "The purpose of the Open House is to let the community see and understand the operation of the school through contact with the faculty members." He also said, "It enables parents to add a dimension of their teenager's progress through school."
The U & U Society members will be located throughout the building to give directions concerning the location of classrooms.

Parents will have three‑minute visitations with each teacher concerning the course in general. Students who have teachers who will not be present on one of the two Open House nights, because of night teaching, are asked to notify their parents of the night on which they will be available.

When asked about how many parents were expected at both Open Houses, Mr. Graef replied, "Fifteen hundred to 2,00 families will be representing the students.''

Refreshments will be served in the cafeteria on both nights.
