We would just like to take this opportunity to express to the students, faculty, and administration that Westerner does not only keep up on the social activities of Maine West, but the academic side as well. Westerner would like to print stories about education here at Maine West and would welcome all comments and suggestions.

If you feel you are doing something interesting in class and have an item that you think would benefit the paper's interest as well as the student's, feel free to stop in and talk to the staff and Westerner's sponsor, Mr. George Walker, in R-210 eighth period, or any spare moment you might have. If you wish, you may write your own story. We also have available the services of two journalism classes. The Westerner staff would be more than delighted to help at any time.
