Student Involvement Makes
Homecoming Great Success
This year's Homecoming, unlike many previous ones, was a great success. One of the main reasons that Homecoming was successful was due to the student participation. Pep Club did a marvelous job in preparing for the game and pep assembly. Signs were displayed throughout the cafeteria promoting spirit. Audrey Nyberg '75, this year's Pep Club president, commented, "Homecoming was such a success this year because more students than ever before got involved in the activities."
Student Council should be thanked for planning such worthwhile activities. Each class and many clubs were well represented in the float building department. Many of the plans have been worked on since last year. The Senior Class also played an important part in the festivities.
They planned the dance which was a major part of the Homecoming success and also made quite a profit. Mr. Eldon Burk, assistant principal, said, "The Homecoming dance was one of the best I've seen in the past five years."
Of course, winning the football game had much to do with the success of the entire Homecoming. The football team worked hard for the victory they earned. Co‑captain Phil Logsdon '75 stated, "The support that the team received from the stands was a real boost for the teams' morale. We played a good, tough game."
The success of this year's Homecoming was due to the involvement of the entire student body. This Homecoming may be just the beginning of a great year to come.
