The girls' swimming team has been victorious in the past two out of four meets, beating Niles East (47-116) and Niles North (68-103). Their losses were to Deerfield (101-70) and Maine South (55-103).

First place winners in both victorious meets were Pat Sipple '75 in the free style, Betty Lou Evans '75 in the individual medley and butterfly, Sue Bowersox '76 in the breaststroke, Karen Gafrick in the distance free style, and Nancy Parrotte '77 in the one‑meter diving.

The swimmers also went to an invitational state meet composed of 54 teams held at Glenbrook South.

The swimmers held their league meet on November 2 at New Trier West. The swim team placed seventh out of 11 teams. High scorers were Sue, who placed third in the breaststroke, and Betty Lou, who placed fourth in the butterfly and fifth in the individual medley.

Other members of the team this year are Sheila McNulty '75, Terri Androff '76, Robin Downing '76, Chris Heil '76, Arlene Mundt '76, and Brenda Baenke '77.

Additional members are Monica Becker '77, Kay Brennan '77, Jeanne Zemaitis '77, Mary Baumhart '78. Donna Carstens '78, Barb DePasquale '78, and Carol Johnson '78.

The remaining swimmers are Karen Plaut '78, Sue Sullivan '78, Mimi Tortorelli '78, Debbie Walter '78, Donna Watson '78, and Ann Zemaitis '78.
